Q: How do I know if I will need a power flush?

Our engineers will first ask if the radiators are fully heating with no cold spots near the bottom, cold spots at the top are more likely trapped air. We can also take thermal images using our thermal imaging equipment as the radiators may be too far gone and old to power flush.

Q: I have been told that a power flush can damage my existing system?

This may be true in an old gravity fed system where pipe work has been poorly installed or by using compression fittings. We would always check first before advising on a power flush.

Q: Must I have a power flush when changing my boiler?

No, we would only advise this if the system is heavily contaminated. You would just carry out a standard system flush.

Q: Do the panels require to have the sun on them to allow them to work correctly?

No the panels work through thermal air change and can operate right down to -28 degrees. No sun is required which is good for Scotland.

Q: Will this lower our carbon emissions?

Yes, your EPC rating will also be reduced at the same time.

Q: Are the systems expensive to service?

No, there is only one moving part in the units so reduces maintenance costs.

Q: Do they take a while to heat the space?

No the heat is instant due to the radiant style of heating. It also heats people and objects directly as opposed to heating the air up.

Q: Can these heat larger areas and does the heat not just rise?

Yes these are perfect for larger areas. We can install de-stratification fans to assist in blowing the warm air back down to where we want it.

Q: I have a domestic boiler why do I need a commercial gas engineer?

Domestic engineers can work up to 70kw, however, in many businesses and in large domestic properties the gas meter is a U16 which requires a different testing and purging procedure that only a qualified commercial gas engineer can work on.

Q: Why should I possibly need to change my current controls?

When installing a new gas appliance it must be installed to all current standards. This includes the installation of time and temperature control. Your system would be upgraded to comply.
